Here's an extract of Pa's story:

Yap Kien Ye, we all know him as PA, was born in the province of Kwangtung, China on September 9, 1909.
PA has one sister, who is now 93 years young and still living in Kwangtung.
He has come a long way from Mainland China, to Manila, Philippines and to Edmonton, Canada.
Pa, Ma, Johny, Olivia (1949?)
In 1937 at the age of 28, China was at war with Japan. Due to food shortages and unemployment, Pa successfully escaped China and arrived in Manila. He is an entrepreneur involved in the laundry, bakery and hotel business in Manila.
In 1944, he married Liong Nuoy.  They have eight children.
Pa, Ma, Johny, Olivia, Ana, Diana, William (1954?)
The eldest is Johny. His wife is Helen and their kids are Fritz and Pam; Fritz's partner is Annette and their son, Sebastian.
Next is Olivia. She is married to Doug and has a son, Ronald;
Third is Ana, who lives in Taipei; Ana has three kids, Paul, PJ, and Jacqui.  All three kids attend school in Manila.

Fourth is Diana (or as we fondly call her, Be) who resides in Manila, Philippines.  She is married to Ed Digal and they have a lovely daughter named Victoria. Everyone knows her as Kiekay.
Fifth is William. He and his wife Rorie are from Vancouver, BC;

Sixth and Seventh are the twins:
Alex is married to Jojie, and they have two kids, Aislynn and Andre;
Ben is married to Marilyn, and they have two kids also, Maureen and Josh;
and the youngest, August, who is married to Joyce and they have one child, Shayne.

Pa immigrated to Canada in July 1980 and now resides with his son Ben in Edmonton.
