Song Playing:Yesterday

I have the most wonderful family anyone could ask for. My parents are at the top of the heap and keep us all on the straight and narrow. They have been married almost 60 years which in itself is a task almost unheard of today. They do not interfere in our lives nor do they give advice except when asked and never get offended if their advice is not taken. They have been my rock for many, many years along with my husband who has seen me through thick and thin without ever letting me down. When we got married almost 25 years ago, he not only took me to have and to hold for better or for worse but also my two small children, ages 4 and 6. He did the best he knew how to help me raise them right but as it would happen we got a few big bumps in the road of parenthood but today, for now, we all are ok. My daughter is well on her way to recovery from drugs and alcohol. She will make it this time because she has three good reasons to do so not counting that she WANTS to do it for herself as well. I am so proud of her. She has three wonderful children and is doing a great job of raising them. My son is doing something with his life that he likes and keeps in touch with us all letting us know that he loves us which is very much appreciated by his mother. Both of my children are very loving and respectiful of their elders. It has been a long rough road but we finally made it this far and for that I am grateful.

Some of you know that I also have a brother which I haven't mentioned. I have been having trouble finding the right words to describe him. He is a kind and generous man who has had more than his share of tragedies in his life. He has just recently acquired the happiness that is so long overdue him. He married a wonderful woman who is very supportive of him and the family. As you can tell, I am still having trouble describing my brother. He has always been there for me mentally mostly but when necessary, he was there in body as well as soul. I love him alot. I have known him nearly all my life since I am the older by two and a half years. We were always friends. We never fought too much when we were growing up. We went almost everywhere together because we found out early on that we could do more things if we did them together since our parents required that we go places together and only bought one car when we were teenagers and I never remember it being a chore as far as I am concerned and I don't think it was for him either. It made us best friends as we are today.
