The following 4 pictures are of the Farmall in the garage as I begin to tear her down.
This is as far as I am going to tear this Farmall down. Now its time for cleaning up to continue.
47 1/2 years of non-detergent oil create a lot of gunk as you can see. This is the only place where its real bad. I am having the head boiled and I will clean this chamber up.
The pistons unbolted and came out fairly easily. #2 and #3 about fell out. The oil scraper ring on the base of all 4 pistons was totally shot. That explains the heavy oil burning.
I stuck the tractor out Monday night due to a large snowstorm which really never developed. Poor ol H lost its cover during the night and I got snow in the block. So she is going back into the garage for a dryout.
