On Feb. 25- 27th, we went to a Brownie Core Camp Weekend Camp O'Fairwinds in Columbiaville. It was great. We stayed in a cabin with 2 other troops from here in Michigan. There were 120 girls and leaders who had spent the weekend. A Core Camp Weekend is a good way to get your girls use to camping, because everything is planned for them. Here is some of the great things that we did and learned at camp.
Friday night: Everyone met in the main building and we played games and had chocolate cookies and milk for a snack before bed.
Saturday: We sang songs and did some crafts. All of the girls had to plan a skit to perform at the end of our night. They did such a great job. They laughted most of the way through them. the girls learned games that taught them to work together. Such as this game:
The object was to move the girls from one end to the other without getting off the board. This was very funny to watch.
Sunday: We had to pack up and clean up our cabins. then we headed for the main building for breakfast. We had a huge friendship circle closing ceremony. We sang: Make New Friends.
