1999-2000
School year ******************************** April We went
shopping at Wal-Mart's to buy gifts for an
underpriledged girl for Easter.
This is for the project seek in our neighborhood. We are
also made these cute bunnies baskets to take to a local nursing home, as
another Service project. ******************************** March This
month we have finished cookie sales we have sold 1404 boxes of cookies.
We had a booth sale at a party store and sold 11 cases. We were rained
out our second day there. So we might have sold even more. The girls are
saving to go on a trip to Cedar Point sometime. We are also wanting to
go to the river crossing in Sept. This will probably cost a lot. So, we
are saving!!!!! ******************************** Feb. We went
camping for our first time. We stayed in a building with another troop
of 15 girls and another troop with 3 girls. There were 120 people at
camp on the weekend we were. Check out our page on
Camp
O'Fairwinds
for games, songs,
and more. ******************************** Dec. We
were very busy during Dec. We went shopping at Wal-Mart's to buy an underpriledged
child Christmas gifts as a service project. We
made Christmas centerpieces out of candles, pine, and flowers at a
workshop. The next day we donated all ten of them to a nursing home, for
the residents there to enjoy. We
had a Christmas Party at my house for the girls. They exchanged gifts.
We made pretty candle holders for Christmas. We also wrote a song to
sing when we are selling cookies at our booth sale in March. ( It never
hurts to plan ahead!!) We
marched in the Christmas parade through our town of Swartz Creek. It was
pretty nice out that night. Nov.99 ************************************** We have 11 girls in
our troop this year. We marched in our homecoming parade
through our town. It was so much fun. We have gone to Camp
O'Fairwinds to take the platform tents down for the winter. It
was a lot of work for the 7 girls, but it was also fun. Then we went
to a Science Try-it workshop. |
