I'm Dot |
I'm Brian |
I enjoy most aspects of sewing (I draw the line at darning sox) .I have several sewing machines and spend most of my free time in my sewing room I also love belly dancing (Traditional Egyptian, not that 7 veil stuff) I sometimes go fishing with Brian, but only when they are biting, other fishermen get annoyed with me as I usually do better than them
| I get very engrossed in my two computers (one is supposed to be Dot's) where I do digitising, fiddle with photos and muck about with maths. I like watching belly dancing (especially the 7 veil stuff, not too fussed about the traditional styles) Now and then I like to spend a bit of time fishing, I'm usually quite successful. Occassionally I get out to my shed and do a bit of wood turning |
We live in a working class suburb, only about 5 km from the City centre, Our house is surrounded by trees and flowers and we have a park across the street with sporting fields, childrens playground and a bushland area.
Our tastes in music are broad, Pavarotti to Parton, Bach to Beetles and Disney to Denver, Dot tends toward classical and Celtic, Brian more to Vangelis & Synthesisers
We spend about 7 months of the year at home, about 3 months at our beach house and about 2 months travelling. We like to leave the main roads and camp in National Parks and by the ocean, we had a 4 wheel drive utility (that is, a pick-up truck to those of you from USA land) that got us to some of the more remote places, but in the last couple of years (2002 - 03) we hav bought and refurbished an old motor home that we now use for our travels. It is a lot more comfortable than blowing up mattresses and sleeping at ground level in a tent.
We used to have a lovely Golden Retriever / Samoyed cross dog called Shambles that considered herself a human, but sadly, she developed a brittle bone condition in her hips and became unable to get around. We had to make the terrible decision to have her put to sleep. That was over a year ago now and we still miss her terribly.
Our family consists of 4 adult daughters, 4 sons in law , and ten grandchildren, one grand son-in-law, one grand daughter in law and a great grand daughter who arrived in August 1999. We have recently been told there is another GG Child on the way. Two of our daughters live in suburban Perth and two in country towns, each about 2 hours drive from home so we see quite a lot of them, and their families.
So! that's us, It was nice of you to drop in, We would have offerred you a coffee but it tends to slop around in cyber space and get spilled where it shouldn't.
Bye the way, You are only Visitor No. to come see us here since October 5th 1998 when we first set up this page. Seems that most people only want our freebies and are not really interested in who we are
