Welcome to my Bronco Page.

This is my 83 Bronco

It's taken a lot to resurrect this truck.  And I'm not done yet!
You can view the pictures and Short Captions Below.

I also have a write up about it from the time I bought it to Date.

Bronco Story

It had a Six Cyl. when I bought it.
It now has a 351W
pic's of what it looked like when I got it, towards the bottom of this page.

Running boards are gone now.

Who ever had the truck before me, when they put them on, put them in to far.

The only thing they were good for was, slipping on, and banging up your shins.

After the snow melted I had to take it out.  That's when I found the Ball joints and Radius arm bushings were bad.  thought I was going to loose a wheel that day.

The deeper mud is down the hill where I just came from.  With bald tires, I didn't think I was going to get out.

A little closer view of it in a little bit of mud.  I didn't go back to the deep mud.  the tires are all but bald.

This is what it looked like when I got it.  Depressing isn't it...LOL

The reconstruction of the fender flair's, out of fiberglass.

Now this was interesting to say the very least.  the truck had about broke me with other repairs, and since at the time when I was doing this, I didn't have a welder, or know anyone that did.  And couldn't afford to take it to a body shop.   I decided to try fiberglass.

With a roll of aluminum foil, some masking tape, and fiberglass, I headed to the local salvage yard.  And after talking for about 20 minutes, convincing the owner I wasn't going to mess up anything, he finally pointed me towards a truck that I could make a template off of.

I used the foil and covered the fender flair, then taped it down.  then proceeded to cover the whole thing in fiberglass.

Believe it or not it actually came out pretty good.  especially since I've never done anything like that before.

The Hardest part was making it smooth.  Since I did this, I've learnt wax paper works really good.

Almost Done with the reconstruction of the flair's.  Not to bad for my first attempt at doing anything like this.

And this is the finished product.  the fender flair's are done and painted.  Sorry it's not a very good pic.

And here's a Couple more Pics

Just for fun.
