Friends - Far and Wide

Friends - a very important part of our lives. Without friends we would indeed be very lonely.

We only joined the Internet in May 1998, in fact we were connected on the day that we went to see Lord of the Dance. Coming home after the show I decided that I would take a look and see if I could find anything on that wonderful Irish Dancer Michael Flatley. I was over the moon when I found the website and began reading furiously. I eyed the guestbook, wondering if I was able to sign it without making a fool of myself. Eventually I plucked up the courage and signed, thinking that would be the last I would hear! Imagine my surprise when a couple of days later I received an email from this total stranger, inviting me to join her chatroom where many people gather regularly - and all have the same interest. I emailed her back saying that I didn't feel that I was able to do that as I was completely green with anything regarding the Internet, but she persisted and I plucked up the courage and popped into the cafe. What a warm welcome we received. The people were so friendly and helpful, and we started to visit the cafe every night since then. Yes, you are right, this lady is Bernadette and she has brought many people together. Thank you Bernadette.
