ABOUT MCGS
The Society was founded in 1985 to help encourage local interest in genealogy. In 1992 we opened the Southeastern MT Research Library to help provide an archive for local historical materials that were in danger of being destroyed since there was really no place to put them. We also wanted a chance to make those materials available to the public.
The Research Library is now closed, but we are maintaining the collection in hopes of finding a home for it in the future.
We are a non-profit organization that depends on donations.
