GALE HOLCOMB KISER 81, SON OF JOHN M. KISER AND EMILY ANN CRABTREE KISER,WAS BORN JANUARY 29,1892 AT MYNARD NEB. AND DIED AT HOUSTON TEXAS COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN HOUSTON, MISSOURI JUNE 10, 1973. HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ETHEL ARLETHA HARRIS ON JANUARY 9, 1922 AND TO THIS UNION SEVEN CHILDREN WERE BORN. SHE PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH DECEMBER 2,1952. MR.KISER UNITED WITH THE UNION FREEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH AT SUCCESS , MISSOURI AT AN EARLY AGE WHERE HE SERVED AS DEACON OF THE CHURCH. HE LATER MOVED HIS MEMBERSHIP TO THE FREEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH IN HOUSTON, MISSOURI.HE ENTER THE ARMY IN 1918 AND SERVED OVERSEAS DURING WORLD WAR 1, SPENDING MOST OF HIS TIME IN FRANCE. HE WAS DISCHARGED JULY 18, 1919 AND RETURNED TO HIS HOME AT SUCCESS. DURING THE LAST FOUR AND ONE- HALF YEARS HE LIVED WITH HIS DAUGHTER, MRS. MABEL NORD OF LICKING, MO.
SURVIVORS ARE FIVE DAUGHTERS; MABEL NORD OF LICKING MISSOURI, JUNE FANSLER OF GYPSUM, COLO., SHIRLEY NEAL, NADINE LONGWELL AND DORIS WRIGHT, ALL OF HOUSTON;TWO SONS; MELVIN OF SUCCESS AND GALE MARSHALL OF TEMPLE ,TEXAS, 24 GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE STEP-CHILDREN,NINE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, NINE STEP- GRANDCHILDREN, ONE SISTER; ADA SATTERFIELD AND TWO BROTHERS; GLEN OF AVA AND CARMO OF FRESCO, CALF. FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 12 AT THE UNION FREEWELL BAPTIST CHURCH WITH REV. ERVIN MORTON AND THE REV. CHARLES HORTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE OAKLAND CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF FOX-SMITH-FERGUSON OF LICKING .
