KILLED IN ACCIDENT
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED THURDAY, DEC. 9,1948, AT THE ELLIOT CHAPEL FOR AARON VANDIVER HARRIS 67, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, WHO DIED OF INJURIES SUSTAINED IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT DECEMBER 6, NEAR DIXON MISSOURI. MR HARRIS HAD BEEN VISITING HIS DAUGHTER,MRS ETHEL KISER, OF SUCCESS.MISSOURI. FRIENDS REPORTED THAT MR. HARRIS WAS DRIVING A TRUCK THAT LEFT THE ROAD, CRUSHED THROUGH GUARD RAILS AND OVERTURNED SERVAL TIMES ON HIGHWAY 28. HE WAS ALONE AT THE TIME OF ACCIDENT AND WAS BROUGHT TO THE WAYNESVILLE GENERAL HOSPITAL. LATER HE WAS REMOVED TO BARNES HOSPITAL IN ST. LOUIS, WHERE HE DIED, DECEMBER 6,1948. HE IS SERVIVED BY HIS WIFE, OF WATERLOO; SIX CHILDREN, INCLUDING MRS. KISER, OF SUCCESS: 15 GRANDCHILDREN AND SIX GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. AND ONE SISTER. SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED BY MRS. RAY MILES. BURIAL WAS AT THE OATLAND CEMETERY UNDER DIRECTION OF ELLIOTT,S FUNERAL HOME. |
