LARRY HUFF LARRY JAMES HUFF,53.SON OF ROBERT HUFF AND OPAL HUFF, WAS BORN JUNE 7, 1946, AT ROUBIDOUX. HE DIED AUG.24 1999 AT MEXICO, MISSOURI. MR. HUFF GREW UP AT SUCCESS AND ATTENDED THE GLADDEN FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH. HE ATTENDED SUCCESS SCHOOL AND GRADUATED FROM HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL IN 1965, WHERE HE PLAYED BASKETBALL AND FOOT- BALL. HE MARRIED JEANNIE SHELTON OF ELLIS PRAIRIE IN 1966. THEY HAD ONE DAUGHTER. DURING THE '60s, HE WAS STATIONED AT FORT RILEY, KAN. HE SERVED TWO TOURS OF DUTY IN KOREA AS A SERGEANT IN THE U.S. ARMY FROM SEPT. 12 1967 TO SEPT. 11, 1973. HE OWNED A BUSINESS AT MEXICO, MISSOURI, AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH. HE LIKED TO HUNT, FISH AND BOW HUNT. EVERY CHANCE HE GOT, HE WAS ON THE LAKE OR RIVER OR IN THE WOODS HUNTING. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO BROTHERS, DEAN AND MICHAEL JOE HUFF. SURVIVING ARE HIS DAUGHTER, VANESSA HUFF OF OAKLAND, CALF.; HIS FATHER AND STEPMOTHER, ROBERT AND HAZEL HUFF OF SUCCESS; HIS MOTHER, OPAL HUFF OF HOUSTON; BROTHER, LONNIE HUFF OF SUCCESS AND ALAN RUSSELL OF PLATO; SISTER, BARBARA BURKE OF LEBANON, TENN., PAMELA HUFF OF EDGAR SPRINGS, PATTY STREET OF LEBANON, DEBORAH WORD OF HOLTS SUMMIT, ELIZABETH HUTSON OF MOUNTAIN GROVE AND DELTA VINES OF IMPERIAL; AND ONE GRANDSON. SERVICES WERE AUG. 29 AT THE UNION FREE WILL BAPTIST CHURCH AT SUCCESS WITH THE REV. SHELDON ZOOK OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE SUNSET LANE CEMETERY AT SUCCESS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF FOX FUNERAL HOME OF LICKING. |
