This page is dedicated to my father's family. They moved far away from the rest of the family when he was very young. He did not get the chance to know them, so that is what intrigued me the most when I began this search. I was very fortunate to find a distant cousin, Marc Arnoldy, that has been a constant source of information and inspiration. It is wonderful when you find someone that shares this interest in searching for your past. If only everyone could be as fortunate as I, it would be a much easier project.

Signature of my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather. Now that was a mouthful! His name was Pierre Sirre (Cyr), he was born in France around 1644. He married Marie Bourgeois in Port Royal, Acadia around 1670.

My Paternal Grandparents on their Wedding Day. Reginald Cyr Martin married Violet Marie Dulac on September 4, 1937 in Lisbon, Maine. I have always loved this picture that hung in my grandparents home. It has always been one of my favorites!

My grandparents had 9 children. My father was the second born child, first born son. They began their family in Lewiston, Maine. Eventually, in the mid-1940's, they moved their young family to Artesia, California, with the promise of a job for my grandfather.
