Amanda got her first Cac for the SM title at the International Show in San Marino. She also won Cacib & Bos (to Jerome) under judge Boris Spoljaric (H), who already gave her Cac & Bob and later Group 2nd. Today she was 3 years and 3 months of age! She got her last Italian Cacib for the International title.

Fabio won Best Junior of Breed at his first All Breeds Show at the International Show in Bergamo. Faxe won Res Cac and Res Cacib.

Arnold won 2nd Best Male award at the last National Specialty in Finland. SBIS was Faxe's cousin from the same Arnold's kennel.

Freddie & Faxe won both Cac and Cacib at the prestigeous Florence International Show. Faxe won Best Of Breed and did a beautiful performance in the Group ring. Amanda was Res Cac & Res Cacib to Faxe. I (Emanuela) also handled the whippet Rivarco Una Favola Blu who went Best Youngster of Breed. The judge said she was the best bitch, but couldn't give her Cacib because she is too young.

After the European show Amanda went to the 3rd Italian Specialty of the Year. She flew in the ring but placed 2nd and only got Reserve CAC. Anyway we are proud to say that Amanda and Faxe were absoulutely the best bitches (and best - and perfect - bodies) in the Open class. They flew over the ground with a movement to die for.

This weekend has been busy for Amanda. She left Italy on Thursday and went to Tulln at the European Show. She has been third in the open class; last year her litter sister Faxe went Reserve European Champion.

Amanda won another Cac & Bob under Mrs. Teresa Gallo. This time she went to the group to win it! and she did. She was not entered in the BIS competition.

Amanda won Cac & Cacib at the Internationl Show in Reggio Emilia under Carmen Kingston (AUS). Samir won RCac & RCacib. Steshabra's That's The Way "Gange" (Oxi x Aruz) was Best Youngster.

Havisamanda The Little Marmaid del Gran Pamir won Specialty CAC and Bitch Challenge and so was SBOS at her 2nd specialty under Mr. Stefen Sinko. Now she needs 1 Specialty CAC and two International CAC to finish. J-SM Ch. Wahalywood The Wise Knight del Gran Pamir was 4th in the Open Class dog.

Fabio's wonderful dad Arnold (see below) is again # 1 Afghan in Finland for 1998. This makes a total of 6 times # 1 Afghan/Afghan Male for 6 years in a row! Hope that Fabio will follow his father's footsteps.

Finally Fabio has arrived from Sweden! This little sweet boy is ready to be part of the Gran Pamir gang. He will be shown as soon as possible in Italy and abroad because now he's just 4 months; so he will be in the show rings in the late spring or summer in the Junior class. In 1999 Italy will see the arrival of a new baby boy from Sweden. His name is Alphaville's The Gold Digger del Gran Pamir (look at his name!). His sire is Finland's Top Winning Afghan ever, multiple #1 Afghan, Multi SBIS and Multi BIS winning Int.Fin.Swe.Norw.Est.Ch. Scaramis Da Capo "Arnold" (SBIS BIS WW Multi Ch. Boxadan Xercise Makes Master x Fin.Ch. Scaramis Carmina). Arnold won the Finnish Nat'l Specialty 3 times in a row (the first one in 1994 under Cinzia Aymaretti); Arnold also produced Multi Champions all over Europe. "Fabio"'s dam is Swedish Ch. Alphaville's Shesuitus "Hulda" (Ch. Kingsleah Smoke Signal - all Khandhu breeding x Multi Ch. Alphaville's Shesellsseashells). Hulda is litter sister to SBIS Multi Ch. Wow!!! Havisamanda The Little Marmaid del Gran Pamir, litter sister to Faxe, went for her first time abroad, in Spain, and she won her first Cacib (and her 4th Cac)! We're very happy. This was her 5th show.

Faxe Fad Fair del Gran Pamir won other Cac and Bob; her litter brother Urshurak Castle Master del Gran Pamir won RCac at the same show his first out under judge Mrs.Maria Kavcic (SLO)! The beautiful young brindle Steshabra's That's The Way (Aruz x Xenos Oxilon-MSBIS MBIS MCh.Khandhu Accolade's son, Mandella's brother) was Best Youngster.
Last judge's comment about Faxe:
"Excellent type, very nice head and expression, excellent body and legs. Very Sound movement. Good tail set, nice coat quality. Good set and carriage tail."

Gran Pamir's founder Rosemma Aymaretti died today. It's a big loss for us and for the breed in Italy as she etablished the first Afghan Hounds' kennel in Italy in 1954 together with her husband Lorenzo. We thanks all our Italians friends and our dear friends all over the world from Australia to Sweden..... The kennel is going on anyway with a second generation and a third one is ready to go on...

Int.Show in Varese: Near Ch.Faxe Fad Fair del Gran Pamir won Cac Cacib Bob, Near Ch.Afghan Khan Must Go On del Gran Pamir (Ashraf's son and MSBIS MBIS MCh. Kefalari's Scenario's grandson) won Cac Cacib and Bos to her while Buzzkashi The Wild Knight del Gran Pamir won RCac and RCacib under judge Mrs.Lotte Jorgensen from Denmark. The Judge gave not reserves to the other bitches.
