BLOOMFIELD - Dorothy M. "Hannah" Carter, 79, of 2514 91st Ave., Bloomfield, died at 8:35 a.m. Feb. 4, 2002, at the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville,Iowa. She was born May 10, 1922, near Ormanville,Iowa to Arthur and Minnie Amelang Orman Sr.
She married Robert Dean Carter Dec. 10, 1939, in Lancaster, Mo.
Surviving are her husband,Robert Dean Carter;two daughters, Dianne Underwood of Clinton, Ark., and Debbie Johnson of Ottumwa; a stepson, Robert Lee Carter of Bloomfield; a stepdaughter, Betty Clauson of Florida; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Edgington of Ottumwa; and a brother, Arthur "Fred" Orman Jr. of Riverside, Calif.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fiedler Cemetery. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Brian March, Tim Johnson, Gilbert Houk, Todd Canaday, Tom Christy and Larry Edgington.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell McCarty, Peter March, Bradly Johnson and Lee Smith.
Memorials may be made to the family.
