Our reunion was held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Wildwood Park in Ottumwa, Iowa. It was a beautiful sunny day, about 80 degrees, and over 100 family members showed up from all over the United States. I had a lot of fun meeting so many people that I felt I knew but had never met in person. A lot of family members showed up with books, pictures, & family papers. We kept the copying machine running all day. I (having a blond moment) forgot my camera, but am hoping that some who did not will share their photos with me so that I can put them up here for all to enjoy.
SPECIAL TREAT for us was our guest/cousin genealogical speaker, Diana Smith. Diana is a professional speaker and she was kind enough to volunteer to speak for us. One of the things she shared with us was some of her genealogical tips to help us with our own research.
BOOKS:
Books on the ORMAN/HOUK families. Professionaly bound - not home made. Bound in colored cloth with gold stamping. High quality acid free paper-high white. The books contained a front history section, a photo section, and a register report beginning with Jacob Auman. Included all Ormans and most Houks in Iowa plus many in Indiana.
Art Dillman has volunteered to donate these items for auction at our reunion next year. All he requests is the cost of materials for each item.

Darrell Orman donated one of his "Sunflowers". A metal sculpture about 4 ft. tall made from old farm machinery.Very beautiful and would look great in anyones yard or garden.

Jim Albin was kind enough to donate two beautiful baby quilts that were hand made by his lovely wife.
