With a heavy heart I write these sad words our big black puppy boy Shaulie B was laid to rest last night.Coleblacks Shaul Baruch born October 6, 1991 joined Victor aka Avatars Regal Invictus on the other side March 1, 2001. The champion of our hearts made a determined escape through the backyard gate which until recently was completely frozen shut and left us one last time. Tragically we just missed finding him safely by a few minutes. On the return drive down the street I was horror struck to see the B Boy lying still along the curb where not long before there was nothing. When I gathered him into my arms a last breath escaped his lungs as I hoped in vain to find a spark of life. In the cold and dark night we dug through the frozen earth to place him beside our Victor. We still have our pretty girl Cinder to love but will sorely miss his non stop tail wagging lap dogging leash straining exhuberance. Vacations with our dogs took us to lots of places in Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and we just returned from Arkansas early monday morning. And now we must bid farewell to the wonderful Belgian Sheepdog who came to us six years ago with the name of the king who was named after the fox. We will keep Shaulie always in our memories with the ancient royal salutation, O king live forever.. .And the silly little love song we sang to him as we held him.
