Visited your museum the last time I was in town. The one room school house display reminded me of my years at the Greenwood school out West of town. Mrs Moffitt was my teacher. She broke a yard stick over my back side as I recall (I'm sure I deserved it). Great web site. I look forward to visiting Manton again, and the old homestead.

My wife Doris (formerly Doris Kibbe from Manton) and my 16 year old son Dustin visited the museum this past June 2000. We were extremely impressed. Doris was very proud to see her fathers (Lyle Kibbe) WW2 army uniform on display and having the opportuni y to review the old scrapbooks with WW2 newspaper articles about her dad and and friends. The museum is fascinating!

I believe my Great-Great-Grandfather, Anthony George was a early pioneer in Manton having migrated there from Ohio in the late 1800s with a portable saw mill pulled by Oxen.

We visited in person last week. We were impressed with the vast array and extent of items collected and donated! Very good work. We had some misgivings about the effect of temperature and humidity variations on some of the artifacts, however--many of the one of a kind items. The Black Maria is AWESOME!

Ahhh!! Finally, we can get a little bit of Manton right here at home in Metro Detroit. We can't wait to see the War Exhibit in the spring. Maybe, If were lucky, We'll catch a dilly of a trout right in the creek! Thanksgiving was the best. Along with a wonderful feast,the old films were somthing we wished we'd seen sooner.
