Workshops:
Basic Skills Weekend: Covers the most important survival skills such as friction fire (bow and drill, hand drill), cordage, (string and rope from plant fiber), basic flintknapping (stone tool construction), deadfall traps, edible/useful plant identification, tracking/trailing, shelter and more.
Advanced Skills Class: (3-5 days) Covers primitive weaponry (your choice of atlatl, rivercane blowgun or bow and arrow construction) advanced toolmaking and hafting, glues and adhesives, basketry, containers and ember bowls, primitive cooking, hide tanning, advanced techniques for basic skills and more as time allows. (Prior completion of Basic Skills Weekend is required.)
The Intensive: For graduates of the Advanced Skills Class, this is a chance to 'take it to the woods'. We will hike into a local wilderness with a minumum of basic food staples and a blanket, and live as a hunter-gatherer group for approximately one week. This IS what is claims, intensive. (By special appointment only).
