Friday Night Bible Study

Meeting at the Hudsons House, 45 Downing Street in East Greenwich -
We'll continue our study in Acts for part of the time, and we also plan to virew
tapes on Israel, with a Biblical scholar and historian as video host. This
video series helps us discover our Christian heritage in Ancient Israel by
looking at the geographical, historical and cultural background for events in
the Scriptures. Everyone is welcome - you need not have attended
before. We'll also meet two weeks later on January 21.

Women's Retreat
"Early Bird" Deadline

The Seventh Annual Christ Church Women's Retreat will be held Friday and
Saturday, January 21 and 22 at the Inn at Newport Beach. The theme for
this year's retreat is "Renew Your Strength", and it promises to be a
wonderful opportunity to explore personal renewal. The "early bird"
cosy is $55. Your check - made out to Christ Church - is your
reservation. After January 9, the cost is $65. For more

Care - Sunday, January 9 -
6:30 pm
Divorce care will begin another session on Sunday, January 9th at 6:30 pm
at the the church office, 1 Franklin Road in East Greenwich. Divorce Care,
led by Elder Ken Bell, is designed to help those whose lives have been impacted
by divorce to deal with the pain of the past, and look forward to rebuilding a
new life. The group will meet for 13 weeks and will use an excellent video
series that helps heal the hurts of divorce and separation. The groups is
open to the community, so if there is someone you know who might benefit, please

2000 - February 3 - 5, Boston
Join 12,000 other Christians at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston for
the largest conference in New England. Speakers included Bill Hybels, Jack
Hayford, Tony Evans, Richard Foster, Bart Campolo, Joni Erikson Tada and Gordon
MacDonald. Be part of a dynamic worship service and enjoy live
music. Friday night concert with Ginny Owens, drama presentations, a wide
variety of motivational workshops, and hundreds of resource & ministry
booths. It's really exciting to attend something like this - to worship
with thousands of other Christians, to hear uplifting and informative
