We are a ministry team. We have been called to go, but God has also called some of you to pray and others to give to our ministry. Each one of us is a beautiful part of the Ministry Team God is putting in place for the unique ministry and challenges we will face in Mexico. We earnestly pray that you will seek God for how He might be leading you to BE PART OF THE STEFFLER MINISTRY TEAM.

PRAYER SHIELD: Those of you who have followed our ministry know that we have suffered a great deal of enemy attack against our very lives. God has been so faithful, and our supporters have been so wonderful to continue praying for us during this medical furlough. During this time, however, we have felt led to gather a Prayer Team who feel they have specifically been called to prayer for the Stefflers. If you have been supernaturally prompted to pray for us during one of our trials, and feel that God has bonded you to us in this form of support, we would like to hear from you. Please e-mail us at chassteffler@juno.com or steffles@juno.com so that we can specifically keep you more informed regarding our prayer needs. We need to have our Prayer Shield reinforced before we move to Michoacan. There is much resistance to the Gospel in this area; we know there will be much spiritual warfare. You are an important part of our team, and we want to communicate with you regarding this. Thank you so very much for your faithfulness to pray.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Without the faithful support of believers who feel called to send missionaries with their financial support, we would not be able to do what God has called us to do--GO! We are so grateful for the faith you put in us with your tangible contributions. As we prepare for our move to Michoacan, we face the following financial needs:

(1) Monthly Support: We cannot live on the field without a regular flow of monthly support. Our recent exploratory trips to Michoacan have revealed that rental property is very scarce there and, consequently, almost double of what we have experienced in Cuernavaca. Since Uruapan is so close to the remote Purepecha people group, we had expected the cost of living to be lower--not higher. Any amount, no matter how small it may seem to you, will help us meet our higher cost of living. (2) Cash Funds: There are many expenses involved in our transition to Michoacan. Specific expenses we are facing are: moving expenses, deposits and increased rent, schooling expenses for our son, health care insurance, etc.
