2.OVER $5,000 IN MISSIONS OFFERING. For my 11 years as camp manager, we have always given between $3,000 and $4,000 to missions. I hope we jump up over $5,000 this year. That would only be $10 per camper in attendance. I hope all you parents will support this goal and send $10 with your camper for missions offering.
3. NO CAMPER INJURIES. We have gone two consecutive years without taking a camper to the hospital. With all the sports, wilderness activities, white water trips, and obstacle course activities, that is a major miracle. Keep praying that the Lord keeps our kids safe!
4. NO WATER PROBLEMS. We have never gone an entire summer without having some kind of water problems. This year, with the completion of our new well project anticipated, I hope we can go the entire summer with excellent water in the Dining Hall, Dorm, showers, Lodge, and Wilderness Camp.
5. INCREASE OUR CAMP USAGE BY OUR CHURCHES. For the past several years, our supporting churches have used the camp less for retreats than outside churches. We have an excellent facility here in a great setting. If you haven't experienced what the Coker Creek area has to offer, here are a few suggestions: Buck Bald overlook, Coker Creek Falls, Bald River Falls, Indian Boundary, the new Cherohala Skyway Drive, Hiwassee River rafting, Gee Creek rapelling, Tellico River kayaking, and lots more. Plus, the camp has great recreational opportunities and lots of hiking, canoeing, and swimming. Why don't you bring your church, Sunday School class, or youth group for an outing here at SMCC? Even a one day outing and picnic?
6. A FEW MORE "FRIENDS OF THE CAMP." I need your help. would you bring this up before your Sunday School class and sign up a few more supporters for us? We really need to increase our giving for our projects. Thanks already!
