Mission Statement - Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with God's people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities, which people can live and grow into all that God intended.

Partnering with Woodmen Valley Chapel Habitat has many blessings:

• Gain a first hand understanding of the desperate need for affordable housing in Colorado Springs

• There is talk of planning a short-term mission trip to Johannesburg South Africa for partnering with our sister church, Randberg Assembly, to build Habitat homes near the Community Center that WVChapel supports
  
• Habitat homes are a hand up... not a hand out. Each homeowner invests over 350 hours of "sweat equity" before qualifying for a "no interest" mortgage on the wholesale value of the home
  
• A gift that truly keeps on giving... mortgage payments paid by the homeowner return to be used in the future to build additional Habitat homes

All of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way that poverty housing and homelessness become socially, politically, and religiously unacceptable.
