Jack retired from Detroit Edison Company, after 38 years, in 1992. He spends time golfing, gardening, maintaining a backyard pond, and feeding wild birds. | Liz held her job as homemaker in the Taylor household since October 12, 1957.(She had no plans to retire). Liz also gardened, worked at a variety of crafts, and helped Jack in any and all activities she could. |
Jack was re-hired August 2, 1999 but decided to retire again on January 29, 2000... Too many bad habits during his first retirement He just can't stand to work for a living... |
Liz continued with her homemaker chores, plus some of Jack's, until she passed away on December 12, 2000. |
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US |
We have lived in Melvindale, Michigan since 1960 and raised 3 children, Kevin,Kathleen, and Kristen. The children have all moved out leaving us to find new interests for just two people to enjoy. Gardening and maintaining a backyard wildlife habitat was something we enjoyed together. Travel was something else we did together, although not often enough. |

Jake and Samson are cats, and Tara is an African Grey Parrot. (we also have a number of Goldfish in our backyard pond). Until June 21, 2000 we had a dog (Samantha). On that date we had to put her to sleep. |
