and at times seems unfair
But try to remember
we all have our burdens to bear.
I've seen you laugh,
and I've even seen you cry
But I can't help but think of how much
your life is like the butterfly's.
Sheltered from the outside
by a wall you created yourself
Hiding from the world
of pain, strife, and hell.
Remember the struggles,
even discouragement and pain.
But the cocoon, including its struggles
is never shed in vain.
So the time has come, my friend,
to spread your wings and fly.
For beauty is beheld
in the wings of that butterfly.
