MINISTRY AT LA LUZ CHURCH: We left the Republic Church on January 14, 2001 and began helping a smaller cell church in transition called the LA LUZ church. We felt that with seven national pastors, 200+ cell groups, and 1000 people in Sunday worship, our missionary work had ended at the Republic Church.  David Jaramillo, the senior pastor at LA LUZ church attended the pastoral team meeting at the Republic Church for 1 & 1/2 years while starting the cell church vision at LA LUZ church. David Jaramillo is a visionary leader. He understands both the long-term cell vision as well as the cell details. The LA LUZ church is a powerful testimony of the effectiveness of the cell church vision. As a twenty-year old programmed based church, LA LUZ  has never grown beyond 120. Since the church began to concentrate on the cell infrastructure, it has grown to 52 cells and 325 in  Sunday worship.  We believe that this church will soon become a model cell church for all of Latin America.
