My Invitation to the White House
I was invited to speak at the White House along with:
First Lady Hillary Clinton, Website
Ann Brown, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Website
Dr. Marylin Bull, American Academy of Pediatrics Website
and Rep. Lois Capps (CA) Website
to represent parents who have been involved with products that have injured
or killed our children. The Clinton Administration has introduced a bill that will increase Manufacturers liability
when a child is injured or killed and doesn't report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission immediately.
My children were involved in such an incident with a COSCO brand stroller. Fortunately they were not injured, but
from the way the stroller collapsed, due to poor manufacturing,
they may have been killed or seriously injured if they were not securely fastened in.
CSPC responded quickly to my claim and later issued
a recall on this item.
McKenzie was 2 months old and Ross was 21 months old when this happened.
I'm just glad that stiffer penalties are being introduced to stop manufacturers from not reporting faulty products.

It was such an honor to meet everyone.
