My long awaited son, Brian, passed away in 1997, only 5 days old. They were the best and worst 5 days of my life. I have attended a few tfc meetings & I am grateful to everyone for just listening to me thru some very tough times. I still have some very tough times, but I have since adopted a beautiful little boy as a single parent (something I thought @ the time was impossible) & he helps me smile every day. Please let me know if I can help someone else.

This is a wonderful web page, thank you for your help and caring. My son, John J. McCullough 3rd, was hit by a train on Oct. 7,1995, He was 23 then he was a funny, sweet, handsome and wonderful son that I miss very much. I don't make the meetings anymore but your newsletter is a great comfort. It's nice to know there is someone to talk to who uderstands our grief. My heart is broken, 'til I see John again, my memories are all I have of him. I call on them often.

Just read the "butterfly" article above and helpful to me as a grieving grandmother of 22 mo old killed in home accident (bunkbed); parents are also lost to me due to the isolation they have put themselves in...(I now understand that isolation)

My son died in a one car accident on October 30th. I don't know what to do....for myself or my family. It is now 71/2 weeks. He was a gem in our lives, so deeply loved and cherised. We all looked forward to his being in our presence. We're lost and strugg ing now. Just after his death we seemed to handle everythring pretty well, considering. Over 800 people attended his wake. Nearly that many attended the funeral. A week later we were left ( as we knew we would be) to pick up the pieces of what used to b our life. We haven't been able to do that. We are all struggling. I found the Compassionate Friends website...Thank God. I live in Shamong...near Medford. Are there any meetings near me....Cherry Hill maybe? We are a family in need of help and hope. Thanks for listening.

Hello from down under. We are from Melbourne Australia and send our love and TCF hugs to you all. Mary's son Geoff died 1987, Anna's son Alexander died 1974 and daughter Leina died 1989. We would not have made it without TCf and have become close friends ecause of TCF.
