OWL PAGE

Here are just a few Owl facts!
There are at least 18 kinds of
owls in North America.
The largest is the Great Gray Owl.
It stands almost three feet high.
And has a wing span of up to five feet.

The smallest is the Elf Owl.
They are found in the Southwestern States
and make their nests in the Saguaro Cactus.
The woodpeckers make holes in the cactus,
this makes a nice cool place for a nest.
Owls choose mates when they are about one year old
and stay together for the rest of their lives.

Owl young are called 'owlets'.
