	Found: William Thomas Thurman and PARENTS! Thanks to Loren Thurman of THURMAN QUEST, Trudy Stucky for the Arkansas Obit, and Darrell Thurman, who provided the Illinois match-up Data! Thanks to my Father, William Elza Thurman who, years ago, helped all he could. Also, my Aunt Dovie (McGuire) Thurman. Thank You! I was able to make the connection to my Most Wanted Ancestor, today, August 7, 2000! I would like to thank all those who have answered my emails trying to help. I still need details! Thank You! WILLIAM THOMAS THURMAN, claimed he didn't have any folks, other than his own children. That has made him very difficult to trace. My daughter and I found him in The INDIAN TERRITORY CENSUS 1900, with the following people: Ellsworth THURMAN & Hattie; Marinda & George PAYNE; and Sam THURMAN & MARY. WILLIAM THURMAN,(Indian Territory Census said b. Arkansas, which is Wrong. On Marinda's it has her Father b. Illinois, which is what the Ark. OBIT also, said.) b. Galesburg, Illinois, 1842, Civil War Vet, Farmer, Widower, (My Father told me that her maiden name was DAVIS, and she was from Tennessee.)(1) son, Kelley, died young), living IN 1900, with his youngest son,(3) Ellsworth THURMAN, (b. Febuary 4, 1878, Arkansas, d. August 17, 1937, bur. Rattan, Okla. Occupation: Mail Carrier, delivered mail on horseback. Ran a grocery store in Arkansas. Excelled in the game of Checkers.) and daughter-in-law, Hattie Merinda (BRENTS) Thurman, (b. August 1882, d. June 5, 1948, bur. Rattan, Oklahoma, m. June 3, 1900, in Whitefield, Okla., Ind. Terr.) (Parents of Hattie are: FATHER: John Alexander BRENTS, b. Feb. 21, 1885 in Ark., d. June 11, 1902, bur. in Whitefield, Oklahoma. MOTHER: Mary Alice (HEATH). His daughter, Marinda THURMAN b. April 1869, in Illinois, m. George PAYNE who was b. April 1865, in Tennessee. and their children; (A) Cora PAYNE, b. June 1888. (B) Dora PAYNE, b. April 1892, and (C) William PAYNE, b. October 1897, (all these three children born in Indian Territory.) were living nearby. The family of Sam S.
