God's Love
Devotional Corner

Do you know GOD? God sent his Son, Jesus, so that we may have a relationship with Him. John 3:16 / For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 5:8 / God demonstrates his own love for us in this While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 8:28 / And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:35 / Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; We are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 12:9 / Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. 1 John 4:7 / Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God(Romans 3:23). For this, God gave His Son. In John 3:16 the word of God says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life." He (God) hath made Him to be sin for us... that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). In Gods law, without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22). and of course life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). So Jesus had to shed His blood and die. Because it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins (Hebrews 10:4). and in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." what does a person have to do to be saved? Well, in Acts 16:30-31, this question was asked by the Philippian jailer and Paul and Silas said Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved... Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). This we know that if we receive Him, to us He will give the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name (John 1:12). So if you confess that you are a sinner and in need of a savior and ask God to forgive you of your sins and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and you make Him Lord of your life and believe in your heart that He died on the cross so that your sins may be forgiven and that He was raised back to life on the third day, your sins will be forgiven and you will be born again wholly and blameless before God. pray and read the bible (the word of the living God) every day.

Come unto the Lord and allow Him to take you just as you are, lost and full of sin a defective vessel and He will reshape you into the vessel of His choosing. It is interesting to note that the faster the potters wheel spins the harder the clay pushes against the hands of the potter. Know this that if it seems like your life is spinning out of control, you as a Christian are moving closer to the Lord, He will not allow you to break apart. His loving hands are holding you together and reshaping you into a much stronger and better vessel. Do not allow your heart to be hard and defective, because if you do you are no longer pliable and the potter can no longer mold you or reshape you into a vessel that will bring Him glory and honor, therefore He will break you apart and throw you away. God formed us out of the clay of the earth with the expressed hope that we would bring Him glory and honor, just as a potter does when he creates a vessel of great beauty and uniqueness. He being proud of his creation will display it and expect it to bring him recognition and praises. This is the reason why the potter creates his vessels and this is the reason God created us. Vessels are created to hold something and God created us to hold his spirit. God formed us and breathed life into us, He created us in His image and gave us His spirit so that we may be unique in all creation and have the right to be called His children. If indeed Gods spirit lives in you, because some vessels have become hard and are no longer pliable. The core of these hard vessels contain the spirit of the antichrist. These are the vessels that will be rejected by the potter when He brings His creation before him and chooses which ones He will keep and which ones He will reject. The rejected vessels that brought shame to the potter will be broken and will lie in their own shame and ruin never to be part of the potters collection. To reject the potter, the creator of you, is a foolish thing to do, because you leave the potter no choice, He must reject you. When you have been rejected by the potter, you are utterly rejected.

Every chance you get you need to be in prayer, you can do it with out even closing your eyes, you can do it where ever you are, dont let your situation even stop you from praying. We need to get our eyes back on the Lord and off our situation. The (oh me) has got to go. Let us look at the story in Matthew 14:28-32, the apostles were in the boat and Jesus was walking on the water towards the boat and Peter asked the Lord to tell him to come to Him on the water, than Jesus said come. Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water towards Jesus (this is keeping your eyes on Jesus this is that perfect moment in time that we all wish we could live in, this kind of faith focus is truth, this is real, everything else is false, untrue and leads to spiritual death. This is what happened to Peter, when he took his eyes, his focus off of Jesus, and looked at his circumstances, this is when he started to sink. But the most wonderful thing took place, he called out to Jesus to save him and Jesus responded by reaching out His hand and caught him and said you of little faith why did you doubt. If you will notice Peter began to sink he did not let himself go under completely but recognized he was sinking and called out to the Lord to save him. The Lord was there, Peter called to Him and He saved him, an invitation a hope a trust. There is much to learn in this story much to gain in the knowledge that our Lord is their ready to catch us even though our faith falters and our eyes look left and right He is still there in front, ready to reach out and take hold of us and lead us back where we were, into the safety of his comfort. Notice also that the wind still blew and the sea still beat against Peter and the Lord while the Lord was holding him and walking with him back to the boat and when they climbed into the boat the wind died down. The Lord is there with us holding us through the tribulation walking with us and talking to us and teaching us every step of the way. The relationship we have with the Lord is very precious, even though we may falter He wont, and He wants us to know that we should not give up but press forward and keep Him in our sight.

The Holy Spirit working in you will confirm in your heart the truth of scripture. When you hear a person present what they see as a biblical truth you can depend on the Holy Spirit to confirm weather that teaching comes from God. My son has written, not all those who wander are lost. This is a contradiction, if you wander than you are questioning, looking for answers, you have no firm foundation no sure footing on solid ground no direction lost treading through quicksand being led by every wind of doctrine that blows your way. A person can loose their salvation, they can reject Jesus to a point where He rejects them. It is biblical it is a fact. Some are so busy trying to convince themselves that a lie (worldly pleasures and occults and alternate beliefs) are the truth that when the truth does come they dont recognize it, and the truth has come and yes He is being rejected, but He is knocking at the door of our hearts. He is saying here I am, please open the door and allow me in so that your sins may be forgiven and that you may have eternal life with me in Heaven. I have already paid the price, I have done the hard part, now it is up to you to do the easy part and accept me into your life. I will not force my self on you and make you believe in me, but I will keep knocking until, well hopefully you will open the door to your heart and allow me to give you peace of mind.

God says I have indeed seen and I have heard and I am concerned and I have come down to rescue my people. The wonder of wonders, an infinite God as big and as wide as infinity is concerned about the finite, the small. So concerned that He being spirit took on flesh being born through flesh dwelt among us learned what it was like to be flesh and He taught us what it is to be spirit than He died a fleshly death so that we may have life through His spirit. He came back to life on the third day and through a course of forty days He was seen by over five hundred people. Then He ascended and a cloud received Him out of their sight. This is so good, He is going to come back the same way He left, so Keep looking up for your redemption is coming soon. This time He will come in great power and authority to receive His Church and destroy His enemies. And get this, He sent His spirit to live in us as a helper. Gods spirit is only for those who will accept Him and this is rightly so because why would God give His spirit to those who reject Him, His life and His sacrifice. It goes against wisdom to go against wisdom. To reject wisdom is not wise it is foolishness.

Through the fullness of time, Gods purpose for our lives will be made known to us. We must be ready to work with Him to bring that purpose to fulfillment. It is a matter of giving up our will, and our comfort to follow Him in what ever He is doing. Our focus is on God and His will, not our own lives, His call may be harsh, tough and dangerous this is when our faith and trust in Him is tested. We may come up with all kinds of reasons not to do what He is asking us to do, but the important thing is that we, at the end of our crisis, do His will for His purpose.

In Gods eyes, before the redemptive work Christ performed on the cross, we were evil with the capacity to do good. After we became saved, God sees us as being good with the capacity to do evil. Sin does not leave us when we are saved, but it works harder in our lives in order to pull us away from God.

When we are made aware of Gods activity we are given an invitation to join Him not looking at our own will but His in the mater that is before us, with an understanding that it should be in accordance with His word. In this we should say it is not a matter of what I want to do for Him but rather what is He doing where I am, keeping our eyes solely on His activity in our lives. He is always at work around us and we must be attentive to what He is going to do through us. He will always make His plans known to us, and when we are made aware of His activity, we must leave our comfort zone and endure a crises in our will so that His will may be accomplished through us. We must wait patiently upon God for instruction and earnestly search His word to affirm the declaration that He has given to us.

We adjust our lives so that Gods will may be accomplished through us. God does not adjust His life to meet our needs. We must remember that He is the creator and we are His creation, not the other way around. There are a lot of gods that man has created. Every god is a false god except the one true God. God is sovereign, and if we keep our eyes on Him, which is the right thing to do because the creation never becomes greater than the creator. He will let us know what He is about to do, or is doing in our lives, and He will direct our paths. And we should be willing to follow His lead, in His time, not ours and immediately we are expected to join His activity. Adam and Eve had their eyes only on God and all was good until satan came and temped Eve, slowly her eyes were redirected from being God centered to self centered and sin was allowed to rain in her life. This rain, this dirty water ran down through her and Adam to their children and their children and so on and so fourth through all humanity. We, being children of light, have the power to refocus our attention back on to God, and this power comes through the redeemer. Who through a selfless act of love willingly gave himself on the cross to atone for our sins, and reconciled us back to God. Praise be to God for His gift, it would be foolish to reject so great a salvation.

Every one should know the good news. That they dont have to die in their sins, that Christ came and paid the price for our sins. The wages of sin is spiritual death eternally separated from the love of God. But though Christ death and resurrection we are made whole and our sins have been forgiven. If we will only call out to Him and ask Him to forgive our sins and ask Him to come into our lives. But we must do this with our whole heart believing and accepting completely His sacrifice on the cross. Through the shed blood of Christ we have been redeemed back to God and our sins are remembered no more by Him and our names are written in the Lambs book of life the moment we believe. As you know hell is reserved for those who refuse to accept Gods gift of salvation. His only begotten son Jesus the Christ who was slain on the altar that was in the form of a cross, died for us. To refuse such a great gift is certainly punishable by eternal separation from God and justifiably so. Why would any body want to spend eternity in a place of never ending torment? When it is so simple, all we have to do is believe and accept the gift. Why would God give His gift to those who reject His gift, this would make it of nothing a useless thing that Christ did when He came and humbled Himself and allowed Himself to be nailed to the cross, a sacrifice to end all sacrifices and the greatest gift that has ever been given. Dont you know the love of God is greater than all of our sins and that even though we are all sinners Christ came and gave himself for us. Now understand this Christ would not have had to come and sacrifice Himself for us if satan had not come and tempted Eve into disobeying God, which brought sin into the world and even though Adam and Eve sold out to the devil, God still loved His creation and knew what had to be done. Since the wages of sin is death and we can not atone for our own sin, He sent His Word to earth to teach us and to die for us. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Not a select few but whoever believes, it is open for us all and God is knocking on the door of our hearts not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to Him and deny satan and his influence in their lives.

Your entire focus is to be on God with an understanding that this moment belongs to God. For in all that you do, do unto the Lord and Say no to all forms of compromise as if your life depends on it, BECAUSE IT DOES. Have you ever had a perfect moment? The perfect moment is when the wall that separates us from God falls and God becomes the center of our reality and the focus of our here and now. What is even better is when He remains in our focus through out the day no matter what comes our way. Through the trials and tribulations that test our loyalty to Him. This is part of the treasure that is stored up in heaven for us, which cannot be taken away from us.
