Each year in late September, the City of Georgetown, KY has the Festival of the Horse.
Amongst the activities that go on all weekend, the parade has always been my favorite.
 The 1999 parade had a Runaway Bride theme. Sort of looks like the groom is' running' to me. And I wonder who threw that garter? |
 This father - daughter team is interesting every year. I've never seen a mule-pony before. |
 Here's my 'buddy' whom I have nicknamed "Old Timer" even though he's young. His dapples are really starting to pop at the age of 5 (?). |
 I was hoping to sneak and get a picture of the knee-high foal but the lady noticed me. |
 She managed to get the twin boys (?) lined up and the rider to look at me, but then |
 the 3 day old foal decided to explore. The lady couldn't get him to stand still so she picked him up |
 which must have made the mare a little nervous. It's probably a good thing that I ran out of film here because I was starting to laugh too hard. |
