- Mrs. A's Place is a multi-service center and houses a
variety of substance abuse and HIV-related
services, including the HIV prevention programs, HIV
case management, medically supervised day treatment
for substance abuse, Women's
Supportive Services and UBP's Central
Intake. The aftercare program for UBP clients
completing treatment programs is also located here. The
New York City Department of Health provides free HIV, TB
and other testing and counseling on site and a child care
center is located in the facility. A hot lunch is served
to clients of all programs at noon. Medical services are
provided on-site by Hunt's Point Multi-Service Center,
Inc. And the St. Barnabas Mobile Dental Van comes to the
facility on a regular basis. Additionally, 12-Step
Meetings (AA and NA) are held in the reception area 5
nights a week, Monday through Friday. The building is
open for services from 8:00A.M. Until 7:00P.M.

- Scheduled to open in February of 1997, this facility will
house UBP's new transitional housing program for the
homeless men and women who are HIV positive or who have
AIDS. The agency's HIV
prevention programs will also be located here.
