Do you find that you go through too many Baby Wipes? --- Try using bathroom tissue, and baby oil.
Does your Baby spit-up on your shirt often? --- Try putting dry baking soda on a damp cloth and rub on the spot. Eliminates the odor.
Bee Sting --- A paste of baking soda and water will ease the discomfort of bee stings.
Crayon on wallpaper --- Take a clean white blotter and warm iron, and apply to stain. The wax will be absorbed into the blotting paper.
Crayon on painted walls --- Try rubbing with toothpaste or an ammonia-soaked cloth. Rinse and Dry. Or sometimes hot water and dish soap will work.
Chewing Gum from Clothing --- Soften with egg white, then brush.
To remove gum from hair rub peanut butter in.

Chewing Gum from Rug or Upholstery --- Rub with ice cube, and pull gum off when hard. Mark left can be removed with rubbing alcohol.
Mega-Bubbles. --- Keep plastic rings from pop can six-packs, and use to dip in bubble solution.
To make Bubble solution:
1 part Dawn or Joy (other brands won't work),
5 parts Water!

Brown Sugar gone hard? --- Put a few apple slices peel side up (or bread ), into airtight container overnight. Sugar will be soft by morning. Or for immediate use place sugar in pan, warm in oven on low heat.
Need extra flavor --- Add a teaspoon of Vegemite to your favorite stew or casserole.

Onion Tears --- A partly burned match, burnt end
out - or crust of bread between teeth, prevents tears. Or holding hands under running water
periodically should help.
Onion Tears ---If I have several onions to to peel and chop I keep a candle burning on the work surface and nary a tear!!!!!

Keep a stainless steel spoon by the sink. When you are done peeling onions or garlic
, rub the spoon on your fingers, under warm water, to get rid of the smell.

Orange Peel --- Soak oranges in boiling water for five minutes before peeling. Peel will come off perfectly.
Salt Substitute --- Mix together 5 tsp. onion powder, 1 Tbsp. each -garlic powder, paprika, dry mustard. 1 tsp. thyme, 1/2 tsp. each- white pepper, celery seed. You'll never miss the salt.
When cutting a lemon meringue pie wet the knife
first to prevent sticking.

Put a ripped bay leaf into the flour bag to keep the bugs out.

Burned or scorched food will wipe off easy if you soak in automatic dish detergent for a while before you
try to scrub it out. Works best with hot water, but cold will do the job.

To Clean Thermos Bottle --- Fill with warm water, add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Let this stand overnight.
Your Coffee Maker --- Will reward you if you wash it periodically with a quart of water plus 3 tablespoons of soda.
Your coffee maker --- To get your coffee maker to run faster run vinegar through to unblock passage of liquid.
Rinse pot well with ice cubes and salt. Make sure pot is cooled or glass will break from temp change.

Mug Stains--- To clean coffee/tea stains from a
mug, just rub the inside with salt.

Ball Point Pen --- Can be removed from wool's, cottons, terylene by using dry cloth and rubbing alcohol.
Blood Stain --- To get blood out pour
peroxide on before washing.

Carpet Stains --- Put 1 part white vinegar mixed with 1 part water in spray bottle. Spray directly on stain, let sit for 5 min. or so, then clean with brush or sponge using warm soapy water.
Carpet Stains --- Try ordinary Windex window cleaner
to remove simple stains from carpet or car floor mats.

Rust on Fabric --- Squeeze lemon juice on the spot, and let sit out in the sun.
Tar Marks --- Soak a piece of white rag in eucalyptus oil and rub on the affected area until the lather is quite clean. This method is suitable for the most delicate materials. Or try using peanut butter.
Grass Stains --- Usually will come out with vinegar before laundering.
Wine/Grape drink or other stains on carpet --- pour
on salt to absorb all the fluid. Let it dry completely ( 1 or 2 days )
then just vacuum away.

Black scuff marks on floor --- Try rubbing with a typewriter eraser. Or try using a detergent that contains ammonia. Scrub lightly with a plastic scouring pad. If that fails rub lightly with extra-fine steel wool. Then wax or polish.

To make fabric softner go a long way...
you need:
1 bottle of fabric softner
a bath sponge
pour fabric softner into mason jar until half full..add
water to fill..cut sponges into decent size blocks and
put into mason jar..throw a sponge or two into the dryer.

Heat Marks in Wood Furniture --- Glass rings will disappear if you rub them with mayonnaise and white toothpaste. Wipe area dry, then polish entire surface.
Scratches in Wood Furniture --- break pecans or walnuts in half and rub on spot for about 30 seconds until nut feels warm.
Wax Remover --- place a paper towel over melted wax on the sofa/carpet, then
iron- the wax will melt into the towel.
Got a Cold or Sore Throat --- To a mug of boiling water add, 1 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar and, 3 tsp. or more to taste of honey. Works best when still hot, and should clear a stuffed nose.
Itch Reliever --- Rub a thin slice of salted raw
potato on hives or insect bites.
If your glue is too Thick --- you just need to put some vinegar drops in
the container, and shake it and it will turn very soft and very easy to work with.

Got a sticky residue left behind from price tags, stickers, etc.? ---
Rub the area with a little baby oil (or any oil-based substance) and the wipe with a dry or damp cloth. The residue
should come right off!

If you drop your contact lenses in a carpet and you
don't find it you can do this : put a nylon sock in the beginning of the
vacuum cleaner and you turn it on, vacuum the area and the contact lenses will
stick and it will be very easy to find it.

Potpourri --- Pull off rose petals when they start to fade and let them air dry. Put the dry petals in a ginger jar with a cinnamon stick or several cloves.
To remove anOld Wallpaperyou prepare a solution
with equal parts of hot water and vinegar then you take a sponge and wet
the wall paper generously, and you do this three times and it will loosen easily.

Sharpening Scissors --- If scissors are dull, cut into sandpaper.
To remove scuff marks from shoes --- use nail polish remover
on cotton ball. It wipes right off.

Emergency Shoe Shine --- For a spur-of-the-moment job, rub your leather shoes with the inside of a banana peel; then clean and buff with a paper towel or napkin.
If the sheets on your bed develop "wool pills" don't throw them out!
Simply spread them on the bed and brush them with sandpaper. This will remove all the lumps.
