Geneology has become one of my most cherished hobbies. My late paternal grandfather got me interested in researching family history through his wonderful stories. He had been told stories as a child by his grandparents and in turn passed them onto me in his last few years.
All of the ancestors on my father's side are "Germans from Russia". They all come from the Volga Region. My paternal grandfather's coming from the village of his last name "Walter", and my paternal grandmother's coming from a close by village called "Frank".
I have collected the information I currently have through lots of different avenues, not the least of "having it given to me on a silver platter". Sometimes you can just stumble upon things already done for you. It's for that very reason that I ask, if there is anything in my geneology that you can link up to or use, please let me know that you have done so, even if you can not share anything that you feel is important. It is "always" the thought that counts.
