chase
This
is M.P. Chase at 9 weeks
Chase is now 13 weeks and counting.
He weighs 8.7 lbs. He is very healthy and active. We walk Chase
one mile in the morning after breakfast and one mile in the evening after
dinner. At lunch we only have time to eat and play alittle through
the week. Then the weekend comes and we go visiting and play on the
beach. I think he gets lonely on Monday mornings as he knows we have
to go to work.
Chase enjoys playing with his Zebra baby
of whom he chews up all day and cuddles with at night. Of course,
his Zebra is no longer white or completely intact. Chase will play
fetch which is what we do at lunch to get in a little exercise. He
walks very well on a leash for being a puppy. He likes to stop once
in awhile to take in the smells, but for the most part he does very well.
Cars still scare him somewhat, but he is getting better about just watching
them go by. He loves other dogs, children, all people and especially
laying on his dad's lap usually falling asleep (his dad says he is watching
TV with him). He knows how to sit on command when there is a treat
involved. Otherwise he has short term memory lapses. Our aim
is to keep him well socialized and become a good neighbor.
Chase's personality is very different
from my first Pug "Mei Ling" of whom is gone now. I try not to compare,
but it is difficult. Mei Ling was the best friend I ever had.
She was always there when I needed her. She listened to me for countless
hours through some very hard times in my life.
I am looking forward to a long and happy
friendship with Chase...once he gets done teething and stops biting us.
We stick a chew toy in his mouth when we see him coming. Otherwise
it is a gamble as to who is going to get a kiss and who is going to get
a bite. He has energy that knows no bounds. When he is tired
he just collapses. Chase has brought back a joy to our home.
