Hi, y'all!!! Thanks for visiting my homepage...except it's not really my homepage anymore...now it's OUR homepage! I hope you find some interesting information and links here, and become one of our cyberfriends!
I'm Baldy (you'll understand the nickname when you visit the Photo Gallery!) LOL! I'm a Family Service Counselor and Certifed Service Professional at Carolina Memorial Park. I made a career change after 35 years as a radio station manager and sales manager, and I know I made the right move. I really enjoy my new job, as it primarily involves helping people prearrange their cemetery needs, and assisting those who didn't plan ahead at their time of need. My wife's name is Carol, and she is the love of my life. She has the most beautiful, sparkling eyes, and when she smiles, her whole body smiles! She is a medical secretary for two rheumatologists at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and really enjoys her job.
The third family member that will always be in our minds and hearts is Lacey, our Australian Shepherd. She passed away after being a large part of my life for 13 years and Carol's life from the day we got married. Lacey was sweet as can be, and amazingly smart! On command she sat, shook hands, came when we called her, and would even lead one of us to wherever the other one was. She also "talked", and even knew how to turn a doorknob to open a door!
Carol and I live in North Charleston, South Carolina and are very happy here in our home. We have a beautiful view of a huge marsh from the back yard and porch, and there are 10 big, flowering crepe myrtle trees along the front, side and back of our property.
Carol was born in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland, and most of her immediate family still lives in that area. I've been fortunate enough to visit there several times, and am overwhelmed by the beauty of the area. I never saw so many sheep in my life!!! We both look forward to moving there after I retire. Carol's hometown is Dundonald, where her Mum and Dad and her older brother Barrie live. Her younger sister Shirley and oldest brother Brian live in Newtownards.
We have an hp pavilion a610n computer. It's fast, has lots of memory...and even looks sharp! LOL! We also have an Epson DURABrite printer/scanner/photo copier. Now we can develop and print our digital photos directly from our camera or from our computer!. We also have a Westinghouse 17" flat panel monitor. We use Knology for our internet connector. It's a cable connection, which we have decided is the only way to go. It's incredibly fast, doesn't tie up a phone line, and our computer no longer has all the freezes and problems it did when we had a conventional phone line connection.
