I've been collecting ELVIS memorabilia since I heard my first ELVIS song when I was 13 years old. In 1977 I bought some packages of ELVIS PRESLEY Trading Cards that I saw at a Variety Store in Valdosta, Georgia. The copyright on them said 1956.
I don't doubt that the packs were setting on that counter for over twenty years either. Since then I've been trying to collect the complete set. I finally completed my 1956 Elvis set on Valentines Day 2001 thanks to an email from David Secrist. (24 years after I got the first 1956 Elvis card). You can see the entire collection of 66 cards by clicking 1956 Elvis Card Set Listing. I now have thousands of different ELVIS cards including the latest set from 2000.
Besides ELVIS trading cards I have 45rpm records (Does anybody even know what those are any more?) I have ELVIS FIRST DAY COVER postage stamps. I have an Elvis Presley Trivia game.
I even have a reproduction of his drivers license.
I have three different Elvis Figurines, pictured above, plus an Elvis velvet painting which I bought in Mexico. Elvis compact discs are the latest addition to my music collection. I avoided switching over to CDs because I had so many other forms of Elvis music but my son gave me a CD player for the car for Christmas and forced me into it.
