Nebraska Eagle Scout
Scholarship Program
Boy Scouts who complete their requirements for Eagle Scout between July 1, 1999 and June 30, 2000 are eligible to participate in this years program. All applications must be received by December 5, 2000. Nebraska Eagle Scouts should be receiving a packet of information from their Council Offices in Nebraska at the time they receive their SAR Eagle Scout Certificate. Within the packet is the Scholarship application forms. The Scout is encouraged to complete the three merit badges listed which are related to the Scholarship Application. The State winner will receive a Bronze Eagle Trophy and $100 cash award. Each State winner will compete for the $5,000 National SAR Eagle Scout Scholarship cash award and a second place $1000 award.

Ethan R. Rowley
Ethan Rowley is a member of Troop 119, Grand Island Nebraska. The Troop is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church and is a unit in the Overland Trails Council of Nebraska. Ethan is very active in school and church activities, serving as the National Honor Society President in Grand Island High School. He earned his Lutheran Living Faith religious award, was a Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Delegate, and a member of the Youth Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hall County. He is an Order of the Arrow, Vigil member.
