These events are held under Canadian Kennel Club Rules. Open to all Retrievers, Irish Water Spaniels and Standard Poodles.

"It shall be the duty and obligation of the test-giving club to see that a judge is not subject to indignities..." (Ch. 16: Sec. 7)

The judge shall have the power to disqualify any dog that shall not appear within 15 min. of the time for its turn to be tried and to exclude bitches in season or any dog deemed unfit to compete. All entry fees will be forfeited except bitches in season. (Ch. 10: Sec. 2, par.5)

In each trial having an open, limited or special all age stake, the secretary in his report must specify which dogs, if any are determined to be handled by amateurs. (Ch. 10: Sec. 16, par.3)

Make cheques payable to the Eastern Ontario Retriever Club, dated no later than April, 1999. A listing fee of $2.95 per dog is required for a dog not registered with the CKC. Litter numbers are not acceptable.

Telephone entries will not be accepted. No entries will be accepted after 6:00p.m., Friday April 23, 1999. No confirmation of entries will be returned. Bitches in season may not compete. Refund of entry fee subject to veterinary certificate. Running order will be determined by draw.

GAME: Ducks and pheasants.

RIBBONS: Standard CKC rosettes (as per Ch. 4, Sec. 4.1) will be presented at headquarters on Saturday at the conclusion of the stake.

TRAINING: CKC rules prohibit training on the grounds designated for the holding of a licensed trail. Prior permission to train on private property must be obtained from the property owner.

FIELD TRIAL HEADQUARTERS

At the home of GLEN CUMPSON near Westport, Ontario. The trial grounds are about 45 mins. north of Kingston on County Rd. #10 at the McAndrews Rd. Signs will be posted. County Rd. #10 is also know as Division Street and Perth Road. If attending from Westport, the trial grounds are approx. 6kms. South on County Rd.#10.
