The Ministries of TeamMates
Throughout the past three and a half decades we've seen God graciously
answer our wedding day prayer:
"I pray that the God of all steadfastness and
grace will grant you to live in such harmony with one another that together, with one voice, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ."
(Romans 15:5-6)
Many have said, "You make a great team!" Our prayer now
is that, Lord willing, our remaining years will be our most fruitful years
in making other teams great, ministering together to the glory of God.
Teamed to satisfy, edify, clarify, unify, and
beautify,
that we may magnify and glorify the Lord together.

Teamed to SATISFY ...
|
|
... we're a welcoming, first class HOSPITALITY
team ... making our home available for a refreshing break, perhaps an
overnight, weekend, or week-long getaway in our peaceful garden
setting. A spacious, inviting, private suite awaits, with a
well-stocked kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and a view that is a visual
feast. Perfect for rekindling the romance, for restoring the soul,
for reading or writing a great book. Additional rooms are available
in the event that ministry teams desire to get away together. We are
situated in the Rivermist neighborhood, about a stone's throw from scenic
Stone Mountain Park in Georgia. May it be true of us as was said of
Philemon: "... the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by
you." There's room at the Inn for you! [Click

Teamed to EDIFY ...
|
|
... we're a "come-alongside" COUNSELING
team ... each offering a listening ear, an edifying word, a bended knee,
or a helping hand to individuals and couples, especially to fellow
servants in the Lord's work. In the midst of all the stresses and
pressures of ministry, those who care for others need to be cared for
too. Having served as chaplain to the Campus Crusade Headquarters
Staff, and then as an associate pastor in California for nine years, and a
senior pastor in Georgia for 20 years, David, along with Peggy, has become
increasingly sensitized to the hearts, hurts, and hopes of the sheep and
the shepherds. |

|
Teamed to CLARIFY ...
|
|
... we're a "Back to the Basics" TEACHING
team ... communicating together and individually in church, classroom,
retreat, conference, and home settings, on the themes God has especially
put on our hearts:
| Basics for Christian Living |
| FamilyLife Marriage and Parenting Conferences |
| Homebuilders |
| Basics for Christian Counseling |
| The Purpose-Driven Life |
| Engaged Couples classes |
| My Home, Christ's Heart (a practical series Peggy teaches on
decorating and using each room of the home for God's glory) |
Having been a teaching pastor for nearly 30 years, David has a gift of
communicating the simply profound in profoundly simple ways. To
date, we have had the incredible privilege of speaking to groups, large
and small, in 35 states and 14 countries. |
|
|
Teamed to UNIFY ...
|
|
... we're a "Beautiful Beginnings" WEDDING
team ... united to see couples united in marriage in a Christ-honoring
way. Not a wedding business, but a marriage ministry. Peggy
has coordinated and decorated for scores of weddings and teamed with David
in many pre-marital counseling sessions and classes. Every time
David officiates at a wedding, he aims to make it personalized, memorable,
and Christ-centered. Beginning with the end in mind, we pray that
the coming generation of couples will have fantastic finishes. |
|
|
Teamed to BEAUTIFY ...
|
|
... we're a "Timeless Interiors" DESIGN
team. Peggy's God-given passion and profession of decorating has
been used time and again to beautify homes, offices, churches, and even a
totally renovated Bed & Breakfast. From clients with unlimited
budgets in Atlanta's
upscale Buckhead neighborhoods, to missionaries on the
field without a buck to spare, the list is long of folks who have seen
their place transformed. Peggy provides all the
creative designer genes; Dave loves holding the ladder or sweeping up the
mess while others "ooh" and "aah." Most
gratifying and thrilling is to see people's increased enjoyment and
employment of their homes for ministry and hospitality when they feel
better about their surroundings. |
