From the 1733 immigration record, it is apparent that Philip was the eldest.
He was born October 16, 1717, probably in Reichstadt, Germany, as was his
father (above). He married Maria Barbara . Her death on April 15, 1785
in Frankfort at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 11 days was recorded

Notes for GEORGE JORICK FOULKROD:
George was amoung the first generation in
america . He took the oath of allegiance befor the honerable judge
William Coleman & Honerable Stedman on the date of 3-11-1764. He setteled
in Oxford township after comming to this country in 1744.
(Penna. Arch. second ser. vol. 2 pg 451)
He setteled in Oxford and died there at an
advanced age. Jan.17 1812, estate of George Foulkrod. Petition of Jacob
Folkrod of Oxford Township, Phila. County Pa,
recites that his father George Folkrod, late
of Oxford, deceased, died intestate, leaving two children, the petitioner,
Jacob, and a daughter Christiana, wife of Mathias Gilbert, also five
grand- children, children of his oldest son George Jr., deceased, viz:
George, Barbara, Ann now wife of George Farr, Samuel, and Christiana, the
two last named yet in there minotiy, said intestate died seized of a tract
of land in Oxford Township, adjoining land of John Addis, Robert
Jones, Amos Lewis, and Leech's Land, containing 50 acres. Also a tract
commencing at the corner of the trinity church land and adjoining John
Knowles, containing 19 acres, another tract adjoining lands of John Harman,
Martin and Kuan
on the Oxford church road containing 24 acres
and another tract, corner of said George Foulkrod land on the line of Castor
and David Yoncer's land, containing 26 acres.

eldest son of George Foulkrod Jr. ,deceased, who was the eldest son

(phila. adm. book k, page 458)
In "A History of the Helt / Hilt Family and
The Foulkrod Family of Philadelphia County Pennsylvania" by Mary Greenawalt
Murphy, p. 48, she states that:
"George (Jorick) Foulkrod was born October
15, 1726, probably in Reichstadt, Germany, as was his father, Johann Adam.
He lived in Frankfurt, Philadelphia, and died intestate December 15, 1811,
at the age of 85 years, 1 month, 28 days. This record was found at St.
Michael's Lutheran Church, Germantown. Mr. Justice stated that he was buried
in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Frankfurt." This would be the same George Foulkrod
listed by George Castor Martin in his "Genealogical Data
Concerning the Family of Foulkrod" in Paragraph
16, which states: "George F. Foulkrod, Sr., was born October 15, 1726,
and died December 18, 1811. Interred in the Pres. churchyard, Frankford."
It is probable that George C. Martin erroneously arrived at the December
18th date of death by confusing the date of burial, which logically would
have occurred 2-3 days later. From the Chester County Historical Society's
"Foulkrod document," (Author unknown): Jan. 17, 1812, Estate of George
Foulkrod "Petition of Jacob Folkrod of Oxford Township, Phila. County,
Pa., recites that his father George Folkrod, late of Oxford, deceased,
died intestate, leaving two children, the petitioner, Jacob, and a
daughter Christiana, wife of Mathias Gilbert,
also five grand-children, children of his eldest son George Jr., deceased,
viz: George, Barbara, Ann now wife of George Farr, Samuel and Christiana, the

, was born March 11, 1734. She was buried January 13, 1781 at Frankfort
at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 2 days. This entry was included in

two Judges of the Supreme
Court, March 11, 1764, at Philadelphia (PENNSYLVANIA
ARCHIVES, Second Series, volume ii, page 451. He is also sho'wn in OATHS
OF ALLEGIANCE, BUCKS COUNTY, BOOK 1 as signing the oath of allegiance February

"Jacob was a resident of Oxford Township.
Philadelphia County. His children were George; Elizabeth, born July 7,

his will dated May 2, 1800 and proved August 4, 1800, Jacob Folkrode granted

Bristol Road and bounded by land of Robert Campbell and John Hilt was to
be divided into three portions and bequeathed to his sons, George and Michael,
and to his daughter, Elizabeth (wife of Henry Schoch). The remainder of
the plantation was to be divided by a lane and the remainder divided into
four lots of two acres each. These were bequeathed to grandson John Henry,
grandson Jacob, grandson Matthias ("son of my deceased son Philip"), and

published the following: "WHEREAS I and my wife Margaret have separated,
and agreed to live apart from each other, I do hereby forewarn all persons
whatever from trusting her on my account, as I will pay no debts of her
contracting JACOB FOLKROD." However, whatever discord existed, it must
be presumed to have been resolved given that Jacob's will provided Margaret
with an annuity.

LeRoy Foulkrod, in "Foulkrod, Fulkrod, p.

Foulkrod, as Sarah Ann Wolliver,--absent references to any source document
identifying Sarah's maiden name. U.S. Census from 1850-1870 list Sarah's
name as "Sarah A.," "Sarah," and "Sarah Anna" respectively. So it can be
determined from these census records that Michael's wife's given name was
Sarah. However, two documents have come to light,--both of which identify
Michael Fulkrod's wife as Sarah Coleman. These are:
1. Birth record of their daughter, Priscilla

CHARLES CASSELBERRY was the fourth son of Isaiah
Casselberry, a Quaker who was born at Catawissa, Pennsylvania, and who
came with his father, Jacob Casselberry, to Lycoming county, at an early
date and settled in the Muncy Hills. Isaiah Casselberry married Hannah
Breach, who bore him six sons and five daughters. Charles was born at Catawissa
in 1811, and settled in Loyalsock
township. He died in December, 1889, at the
home of his son Abram. He married Elizabeth Foulkcrodd, daughter of Philip
Foulkcrodd, of Muncy township. She survives her husband, and resides with
her son Abram. To Charles and Elizabeth Casselberry were born the following
children: Barbara, widow of William Stryker; Hannah, widow of Jeremiah
Reinhard; Sarah, wife of Peter Bastian; Kate, deceased wife of Benjamin
Chapman; Elias; Abram; Thomas; John, and George. Mr. Casselberry was an

Margaret Foulkrod (1824-1883) married George Grant Dunlap (1818-1870). Margaret and George had 10 children, and they are buried in that infamous Hoppestown Cemetery. Apparently their gravestones were legible, because this information comes from an old piece of research not done by Margaret [Mrs. Leonard Brion] and Donna. Judging from those stones that are left, it appears that a number of the Dunlap children and grandchildren died in an epidemic that virtually wiped out several families in the 1880's. DOB for George V. Foulkrod/Fulkrod established

not yet added the children, Georgia and Frank P., onto my system because
I haven't been able to determine as of May 8, 1999 if the mother's name,
Catherine, on Ida Lee's headstone in Wildwood Cemetery, is the same woman,
Mary, identified in the 1870 U.S. Census. And, therefore, I am not able
to determine if George V. was twice married or if his only wife was named
'Mary Catherine.' From Col. Thomas W. Lloyd's History of Lycoming County,
Pennsylvania, pub. by Historical Publishing Co. (1929), p. 180: On October
14, 1878 Duboistown was incorporated as a borough, after strong opposition
on the
part of some of the citizens of Armstrong
township who were not in favor of giving up such a large slice of territory.
C. C. Brown was chosen as its first burgess, but as he moved away immediately
after his election, the court, upon petition, appointed George Fulkrod,
March 21, 1879, and he was, therefore, first chief executive of the borough.

GENEALOGY RESEARCH REPORT FOR LOUISA (OHNMEIS)
FOULROD
By J.C. Carver
Based on the birth year of their first child,
Jacob, I'm assuming Jonathan Alexander Ohnmeissmarried Sophia Regina Vonkerker
circa 1850. From this union there were two children born. Jacob Ohnmeis
who was born in 1851 and then in 1853, came their daughter, Louisa Ohnmeis.1
At this time, I have no genealogy information about Louisa's older brother
Jacob Ohnmeis. However, I did happen to accidentally discover Louisa's
name in the 1870 U.S. census.2 It is important to remember that Jacob and
Louisa's mother was Sophia Regina Vonkerker. Sophia was Jonathan Ohnmeis'
first wife. His second wife, Christiana Rehrer, was Jacob and Louisa's
step-mother.3 Based on the age of Jonathan and Christiana's oldest child,
Daniel, this second marriage probably occurred around 1857 or 1858 when
Jacob Ohnmeis was about six or seven years old and Louisa
Ohnmeis was about four or five years old.
One strange thing is that Jacob and Louisa's name does not show up in the
1860 U.S. Census, Green Township, Clinton county, Pennsylvania.4 Where
were Jacob and Louisa? Was their mother still alive but divorced from Jonathan?
And were they living with their mother? In 1860, Jacob would have been
about 9 and Louisa 7 years old. The earliest record of Louisa Ohnmeis I
have, comes from the 1870 United States census.5 From
this record we see that Louisa is a 17 year
old domestic servant working in the William Sterling household in Williamsport,
Pennsylvania. The date is 19 July 1870. Mr. Sterling, whom is 61 years
old and his wife Mary L. Sterling, age 60, also employ two Jamaicans. Ten
years later, in the 1880 U.S. census,6 we find that Mifflin Township has
a 26 year old farm laborer by the name of William
Fulkrot. Mr. Fulkrot's daughter, Anna G. Fulkrot,
is only a year old. Anna's mother, William's wife, is shown to be 27 years
old. Her name is Louisa. I made the assumption that this is Louisa Ohnmeis
because: 1) her age since the last census, 2) her first name Louisa, and
3) information from the 1933 Ohnmeis Family History.7 In this family history
book, it states that Louisa Ohnmeis married William Foulkrod. Their children
were John, Albert and Ida Foulkrod. "From these three children, twelve
children were born". You may ask yourself, what about Anna G. Fulkrot?
I can only assume that Anna G. Fulkrot died sometime after the June 1880
census. What about the difference in surname
spelling? This was a typical variation found
in many of the census notes of the time. Any information that the reader
may have to refute this theory should be sent to me. At this time, I have
no information regarding Louisa (Ohnmeis) Foulkrod's death. The 1918 Williamsport
City Directory shows a William Foulkrod residing at 16 E. Canal Street.8
Also living at the same address is William's daughter, Ida, who is shown
to be a widow. Ida's daughter at this time would be about 16 years old.
Assuming William Foulkrod was born in 1854, he would have been approximately
64 years old in 1918.9 It appears that Ida's deceased husband's surname
was Chauncey W. Goldy.10 Thus making her married name, Ida M. Goldy. About
seven to eight years later, the 1926 Reunion Book and the Family History
Book indicates she remarried. This time to Charlie M. Stryker.11Further
investigation of the family history book reveals the following: Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Stryker from Williamsport, was one of two "young married couples"
attending the 1926 Ohnmeiss family reunion. It goes on to say that on this
June 5th day at Tea Springs Park, "They were serenaded by old dishpans".12
It's interesting to see the word "young" used, when you consider that Ida's
daughter, Pauline would be 24 years old nine days after that June 5th family
reunion. Six years later, in 1932, Ida M. Stryker was elected treasurer
of the family reunion.13 Ida Foulkrod had two daughters, Elenore and Pauline
and I believe that Chaucey W. Goldy was their biological father.14 Elenore
married a man with the surname Jones and Pauline married Charles Gross.15
Pauline G. Gross died at the Leader Nursing Center (100 Leader Drive) on
22 August 1989 (10:30 p.m.) at the age of 87. She was born on 14 June 1902
in Williamsport. Pauline was buried at the Twin Hills Memorial Park in
Fairfield Township, Pennsylvania on 25 August 1989.16 Note: Fred Foulkrod
was the informant for the death certificate. Additional Foulkrod names
from the reunion book are listed below: The 1934 reunion states that Beatrice
Foulkrod received 50 new pennies for being the youngest present.17 The
1949 reunion shows that Winnifred Elizabeth Foulkrod was born.18 The 1951
reunion indicated that Tom Foulkrod married.19 The 1952 reunion shows that
Newton and Beatrice Foulkrod are in the service.20 She must be the one
that received the 50 new pennies in 1934! It is very possible that the

From John F. Meginness' History of Lycoming
County, Pennsylvania, (Gateway Press, Baltimore,

He married Carrie A. Johnson, a native of Sweden
who has born him three children: Loretta;
Kittie J., and Charles. Mr. Casselberry is a member of the Republican party,

"ABRAM CASSELBERRY, was born 9 Dec 1839 and
died in 1923; and married Carrie A. Johnson (1841-1918) about 1870. He
was born in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; and received
a common school education and reared a farmer. "In August 1861 he went
to Washington, D.C. and became a teamster for the Union Army. He hauled
supplies from the "G" Street wharf to different regiments and batteries
in the surrounding areas until March of 1863 when he went back to Pennsylvania
to enlist in the Militia. "On 27 June 1864 he enlisted for three months
and served for the Pennsylvania State Militia. On 10
Oct 1864 he re-enlisted in the Federal Pennsylvania
Light Artillery, and served over one year until he was discharged on 30

lumber operation expired, at which time the family moved back to Lycoming
County and purchased the Turley Farm near Newberry, pennsylvania. In Decemer

in farming. They spent the remaining years of their life on the farm and
are buried in East Wildwood Cemetery at Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He
was a member of the Republican Party and a worthy and enterprising citizen.
"He married Carrie Anna Johnson (1841-1918), a native of Sweden, and moved

Caselberry, Kathryne Jane "Kittie" Casselberry, and Charles Casselberry.
"Abram Casselberry, was stationed at Fort Corcaian on Arlington Heights
(now the site of Arlington National Cemetery), and assigned to the 1st
Regiment of the Pennsylvania Light Artillery, Battery C. Whle serving with
this unit, he was assigned to guard President Abraham lincoln, on a specific
occasion. The President was reviewing the
troops and stopped to shake hands with several of them. Of Casselberry,
he inquired "Son, what might your name be?" He replied, "Abram, sir." Lincoln
said, "Too bad you're not Abraham and I Abram." (Indicating he would rather
have been a soldier than President.)"

After George and Adelia married they lived
on Scott Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He was a volunteer fireman
at the old Fire Station on Memorial Ave. near Cemetery Street. They later
had a house built on West Fourth Street which is next to the WRAK Radio
Station. George had a garage built with a basement that faced the golf
course. He used the basement as a workshop,
where he cleaned and repaired reeds for the
silk mills in the area. One was the Homes Silk Mill at the corner of Memorial
Ave. and Dewey Street. Next to his shop he had a large garden to help supply
their kitchen, and to Georges distress the occasional golfer. He and Adelia
adopted Earl Edward Gulliver who was the son of their first child Hazel.
