Salvation is Free
- Romans
3:23.
For all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We must
understand the desperate need of salvation from our sins!
- Romans
10:17. Consequently,
faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard
through the word of Christ. We must hear the gospel message.
- Mark
16:15-16. He said to them,
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all
creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but
whoever does not believe will be condemned. We must
respond to the gospel.
- I Peter
3:21. And this water
symbolizes baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt
from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It
saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We must be
baptized.
- John 3:36. Whoever believes in
the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see
life, for God's wrath remains on him." We must
believe in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God.
- 2 Peter 3:9.The Lord is not
slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is
patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come
to repentance.
He is always faithful to
forgive whatever we've done, if we just ask.
- Romans
10:9-10.
That if
you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are
saved.
- I Timothy
6:12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of
the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good
confession in the presence of many witnesses. Matthew 10:32-33. Whoever acknowledges
me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in
heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him
before my Father in heaven. We must confess our Faith in Jesus!
- 2 Peter
1:5-11.
For
this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith
goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge,
self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to
perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these
qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being
ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and
blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past
sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your
calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will
never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal
kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We must be
faithful to Jesus always!
