Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly"... John 10:10. Do you know the joy and peace of personally accepting Jesus' invitation to life? Maybe you have tried to live a good life but never really excepted Him as your Lord and Savior. No matter who you are, or what you've done, Jesus wants to come into your heart. He has already paid the price for your sins and promises us a full life if we would just put our trust in Him.
"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life...John 3:16. He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him. "Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent".....John 17:3.
Why is it that we cannot have a personal relationship with God? Our sins cut us off from God. For we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God"...Romans 3:23. Also Romans 6:23 states, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Sin creates a gap between us and God because God is Holy and can not tolerate sin. People try to find a full and meaningful way of life through their own efforts. They try to live a good life or be religious. But the bible clearly teaches that there is but one way to bridge that gap.
Jesus Christ is God's only cure for our sin. Through Him you can know God personally and experience His love. Jesus died in our place. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." According to 1 Corinthians 15:3-6,...Jesus rose from the dead. "...Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day. He was seen by Cephas (Peter) and then by the twelve (his disciples), after that he appeared to more than five hundred....
Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me"...John 14:6. God gave us a way of escape. He bridged the gap by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sin. However it is not enough just to know the truth, we must act on it.
We must receive Christ. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name".....John 1:12. We receive Christ by personal invitation. Receiving Christ as our personal savior means turning from our sinful ways (being Godly sorry for our sins) and trusting Christ to come into our life to forgive our sins so that we can begin our personal relationship with Him. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will. You can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith through prayer. God knows your heart and is really not as concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. Millions of people all around the world have already found new life in Christ. Why not give your life to Christ today. "Behold now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2. Open up your heart and let Him come in and make your life brand new.
Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8, 9 |
