Descendants of Henry McFall1. HENRY1 MCFALL was born 1796 in New York, and died 12 Jun 1866 in Danby, Tompkins Co., New York. He married JANE UNKNOWN 1813 in New York. She was born 24 Nov 1798 in New York, and died 12 Feb 1862 in Danby, Tompkins Co., New York.
Notes for HENRY MCFALL: Obit: Northern Christian Advocate - July 25, 1866 Br. Henry McFall died in South Danby, Tompkins County, New York, June 13, 1866, in the 74th year of his age. BrMcFall has been for many years a consistent and devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. His last illneww, though brief, was very severe. Less, then four weeks previous to his death, when the writer was preaching in the neighborhood, making the remark that perhaps before his next appointment some one of his congregation would be sleeping with the silent dead, Br McFall was heard to respond, "Amen". A few days before his death, his daughter asked him, "Father, tell me, is Jesus precious?" He immediately answered, "O yes! Jesus is very precious". Near the hour of his departure, being speechless, his daughter said to him again, "Father, if Jesus is still precious, press my hand," which he did warmly and fervently. Thus, passed away from earth, a faithful servant of God, ripe in years, ripe in grace, a ripe sheaf gathered in its season. He leaves a wife and a large circle of relatives to mourn his loss. South Danby, July 6, 1866 Rev. W. H. Gavit.

Notes for JOHN MCFALL: John McFall's Obit. John McFall, an Aged Resident, Taken Saturday Morning John McFall passed quietly from the trials of this life at about 8:30 o'clock last Saturday morning while surrounded by the members of his household, and other near and dear ones, at his home on Clark Ave. Death came suddenly, he having been poorly for some time, but scarcely confined to the bed for more than a day. As lately as Thursday he had carried in loads of wood from the yard. He was afflicted with heart disease for some year or more preceeding his death, and also contracted pneumonia, from which he suffered during the terminating days of his life. Mr. McFall was born in the town of Danby, Nov 14, 1825, his age at the time of death being 74 years lacking three days. He married on August 28, 1851, Miss Lannah Sincepaugh. They moved into the town of Van Etten some eighteen years ago, residing near North Van Etten. They went to Spencer, and after a brief residence there re-moved into this village, living here ever since. The deceased was a stone mason by trade. He was a worthy citizen and a consistent Christian, having united with the M.E. Church at eighteen years of age. He is survived by his wife; one sister, Mrs. Hannah Dorn, of Danby; one daughter, Mrs. James Griffin, of Spencer; and one other member of his immediate household, his grand-daughter, Miss Ada McFall, who made her home with him nearly the whole of her life. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the home and was attended by a large number of friends and family. The Rev. O.W. Cook of the Baptist Church officiated, delivering an impressive discourse. The internment was made in Mount Hope Cemetery. (clipping found in family bible, date of death Nov 11, 1899).
