YOU

You were born prematurely, and nobody knew,
if you'd be O.K. if you would pull through;

We prayed for your life, your strength, and your health,
because that was worth more than having great wealth;

The days that would follow would determine your fate,
but you got strong and healthy at a very fast rate;

You were a tough little person, you put up a big fight,
we took it for granted that you'd be all right;

The years that would follow just flew by us all,
winters became springs, and summers became fall;

You grew up very rapidly a woman you became,
we had little time together, and that is ashame;

I was shocked and bewildered when I heard you were ill,
it felt like the earth had suddenly stood still;

I never thought for a moment that you would depart,
you wouldn't leave the ones you loved with all your heart;

Your mother, your children, family and friends,
could not believe that this would be the end
of a beautiful life that once God had saved,
to go with him now was not a choice that you made;

I asked God to give you the strength to fight all the way,
But he didn't answer, not a word did he say;

But then you were taken and his answer was quite clear,
He needed you up there, more than we did down here.

it will always be very difficult for us to understand why you had
to leave so soon"

THE CHILDREN

The children are left to wonder,
why has my mommy gone?

The children are left to wonder,
when will we see her, will it be long?

The children are left to wonder,
why did the angels take her away?

The children are left to wonder,
if she had a choice, would she have stayed?

The children are left to wonder,
how did all this come about?

The children are left to wonder,
should I cry or should I shout?

The children are left to wonder,
will the pain ever go away?

The children are left to wonder,
every moment of every day.
