Favorite Christmas Cookies
- Go to the grocery store.
- Purchase one or more tubes of ready-made cookie dough.
- Go home.
- Unwrap the cookie dough, carefully folding the wrapper inside-out and placing it at the bottom of your trash can. Better yet, bury it in the backyard.
- Cut off a portion of the cookie dough and smear it on a mixing bowl and spoon. Display bowl and spoon prominently so everyone can see your "work."
- Slice cookie dough, place on cookie sheets and bake in the oven. But don't use a microwave because that won't work. I just know this...I've never actually tried it. I mean, you'd have to be pretty silly to stick cookie dough in the microwave, only to watch it melt and run together into one giant patty which explodes in three minutes. I've never seen this happen...I'm just supposing.
- Place cooled cookies on your hand-crafted platter* and serve to your guests.
