Welcome to my little corner on the web. My name is Marge and I'm
divorced mother of three very active kids: Jonathan 12, Sean
Patrick 8 and Victoria 6. My life has gone through major changes
in the the last 3 years, some of which have been bad and others
very good. It certainly has been a growing experience which has
made me stronger than I ever thought possible. For those of you
facing big challenges in your life, keep the faith! It does get
better!
During my separation, I found myself needing a full-time
job. Being a stay-at-home mom at the time, I had only
worked part-time through the years teaching Spanish for our
local Community College. Faced with the fact that I now
had to raise my children alone and in need of a full-time job, I
decided to turn my hobby into my profession and became a
Computer Instructor teaching Continuing Education courses in
Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Two years after
that, I was hired as an IT Consultant for Fayetteville State
University and enjoying it tremendously. There are no
limits when you set your heart and mind to one specific
goal...succeeding! I'm currently enrolled in school to
work towards a degree and hopefully one day I will get that
piece of paper that is so important to have.
We live in Fayetteville, North Carolina, home to Ft. Bragg, the
3rd largest military installation in the nation. I'm 36 and
originally from Panama and came to this great country in 1988.
After my divorce, I made the choice of staying in the States
with my kids. I wanted them to have stability in their
lives despite the divorce and not have to change schools or move
to another location where all their familiar things would be
gone. It hasn't been easy...but we have managed to
survive!
