A Hug Poem

It’s wondrous what a hug can do,
A hug can cheer you when you’re blue.
A hug can say, I love you so
Or, I hate to see you go.
A hug is Welcome back again,
And Great to see you! Where’ve you been?
           
A hug can soothe a small child’s pain,
And bring a rainbow after rain.
The hug, there’s no doubt about it
We scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms,
I must be why we have arms.
                             
A hug can break the language barrier,
And make life so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of ‘em,
The more you give, the more there’s of ‘em.
So stretch those arms 
and Give Someone a Hug today!
                                    

Catch a Rainbow
                                                        
If I could catch a rainbow, I would do it just for you,
And share with you its beauty on the days you’re feeling blue.
                                                                   
If I could I would build a mountain you could call your own,
A place to find serenity, a place to be alone.

                        
If I could take your troubles, I would toss them in the sea, 
But all these things I’m finding are impossible for me.
                                    
I cannot build a mountain or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best;

Friends are like Angels
             
Our friends are like angels who brighten up our days,
In all kinds of wonderful magical ways.
Their thoughtfulness comes as a gift from above,
And we feel we’re surrounded by warm and caring love.
                                                                          
Like upside-down rainbows, their smiles bring the sun,
And they fill the dull moments with laughter and fun.
Friends are like angels without any wings,
Blessing our lives with the most precious things.
