Since December 1999 I'm a member of the Enterprise Backup Team at PeopleSoft working as their Sr. Disaster Recovery Engineer. Our team is responsible for the backups of over 8,000 desktop machines, and 600 servers accounting for more than 90 terabytes of data backed up monthly. I'm in the office Monday through Friday and on call via pager 24x7.

I came to PeopleSoft after a nearly 3 year stint at Synopsys where I was the
Network Backup Administor. My duties included managing backups and offsite storage
for 5+ terabytes of data and 5 IBM 3466 C30 robotic libraries
spread over 3 separate campus locations.

I speak fluent ADSM
but can also communicate in Legato, ArcServe, Retrospect, Connected TLM and Veritas.
In a former life I was a Sun System Admin
then I found my "calling" in the backup world and haven't looked back...

My *other* full time job is my family.
I have a husband ( Terry)
Two boys (Matthew - 6 years and Andrew - 3 years)
and two great dogs
Scout (a collie) and Shasta (a german shepherd)

Because I believe free time is a sin (grin)
I also teach beginning dog obedience two nights a week
and am a member of the board of directors of
Fremont Dog Training Club
where I train for competitive obedience trials
